Developed by Jason Edwards, EMEND Field Coordinator 2002 Driving See University of Alberta policies on driving University of Alberta Vehicles. No alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to driving. Drive according to road conditions. Roads around EMEND are often wet, muddy, and rough. Go slow and use caution. When driving long distances i.e. from Edmonton to EMEND ; stop frequently and be well rested before you begin driving. Use caution when reversing vehicles. Refrain, as much as possible, from driving trucks on the CANFOR haul road when it is wet. Driving on this road when it is wet creates deep ruts that become a major driving hazard when they later dry up. Vehicles Only authorized University of Alberta staff or students can drive University of Alberta vehicles. Park "ready-to-go" when at EMEND camp. Please hang your keys in the common key area so your vehicle can be moved in case of emergency. Keep an accurate log of all your trips. Note the reason for driving, kilometers driven and kilometers while towing. Wash the vehicles when ever possible. Keeping the vehicles clean helps reduce wear and tear and thus costs.

Evidence for a Lower Jurassic occurrence of Tarsophlebiidae and also no need for a further redundant taxon Tarsophlebioidea or Tarsophlebioptera. S TRATIGRAPHIC AND GEOGRAPHIC RANGE . -- Only known from the Upper Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous of Eurasia. EMENDED DIAGNOSIS. -- Nel et al. 1993 ; proposed a diagnosis of the Tarsophlebiidae. We here emend this diagnosis with the following characters: 1 ; primary antenodal braces Ax1 and Ax2 stronger than the secondary antenodal cross-veins; 2 ; in all fore and hind wings, there are pairs of secondary longitudinal concave veins "above" and "below" the convex veins CuA, MA, and IR2, and closely parallel to them. We propose to name them respectively antero-CuA, posteroCuA, antero-MA, postero-MA, antero-IR2 and postero-IR2 intercalary veins. These veins are more or less long and defined in the different taxa. The posterointercalaries are always longer than the associated antero-intercalaries; and 3 ; in male, one pair of well separated anal appendages visible, of very particular shape, basally strongly sclerotized, with high humps and a non-sclerotized paddle-like distal part. No median anal appendage visible. These body characters are only known for Tarsophlebia eximia and Turanophlebia vitimensis n. sp. The monophyly of Tarsophlebiidae is supported by several strong autapomorphies Nel et al. 1993 ; , such as: hypertrophied hind wing subdiscoidal cell, developed as "pseudo discoidal cell"; in hind wing, fusion of veins [MAb + MP + CuA] for a considerable distance before separation of MP and CuA; vein AA strongly bent at insertion of CuP-crossing; extremely acute distal angles of fore wing discoidal and subdiscoidal cell. The characters "distinctly prolonged legs, with very long tarsi" and "male cerci with strange distal expansions" are present in both T. eximia and T. vitimensis n. sp., and probably also in other Tarsophlebiidae. The "extremely prolonged female ovipositor" could be an autapomorphy of the family, too, but it is only known from T. eximia. A further alleged autapomorphy mentioned by Nel et al. 1993 ; rather seems to be a symplesiomorphy Bechly 1996 ; , viz. "veins [RP + MA] - MAb - CuA aligned". It is also present in the Epiophlebiidae Muttkowski, 1910, Isophlebioptera and Heterophlebioptera.

Networks of early warning radars and other sensors, data fusion centers and surface-to-air missile SAM ; systems whose integrated function is to detect, track and direct fire on adversary aircraft. Mission planners attempt to route through these threats, minimizing radar tracking and SAM engagement opportunities while obeying constraints on aircraft speed, altitude and turn capability, mission range, mission time, fuel, deconfliction with other aircraft and locations of ingress and egress from the threat region. Complicating this problem is the fact that mission planners must do their routing with incomplete and uncertain information on threat number and location, and must complete their route determination for multiple aircraft in a timely manner typically much less than a day ; . This project will evaluate the types of approaches most applicable to this problem, including classical cost minimization techniques, neural networks, genetic algorithms, combinations of these techniques and any other techniques that the team chooses to consider. The team will initially research an optimal approach, assuming that the disposition of the threat is known. The team will then expand its analysis to consider the impact of threat uncertainty, first assuming that the locations of the threats are known to within a given geolocation uncertainty, then including incompleteness in the threat by assuming that each threat has a certain likelihood of being in historically determined locations. Time permitting, the team will then consider the general case of mission planning in the face of uncertainties in threat number and location and emtricitabine.

Derek Sidders Canadian Forest Service ; has completed the new EMEND compendium and updated Research and Study Guide. The compendium includes updated project descriptions, summaries of preliminary results, and any other information useful to aid the transfer of technology to EMEND partners. The compendium has been distributed to all funding partners involved with the project. Updates will be distributed on an annual basis. 9.3. EMEND Database Progress. Brad Tomm continues to compile EMEND data into a comprehensive database. It should be noted that Tomm is a Canadian Forestry Service employee and his time is provided to EMEND with CFS funds. The following is an EMEND Database progress report provide by Tomm. The primary focus of the EMEND Database is to archive research data collected at the EMEND study area that is easily accessible for analysis and to provide a platform where data summaries, with the permission of the researcher responsible for the data, may be shared amongst fellow researchers. The EMEND Database continues to grow with progress being made in several different areas. A security protocol was implemented in 2003 2004 to allow for multiple users to access certain areas within the database using Microsoft Access or PC SAS. Access for each user is limited to the shared general datasets and those datasets the user is providing data for. The EMEND Database currently consists of sixteen datasets being contributed by eight researchers. The `Main Support Information', `Ecosite Classification', `Permanent Tree Plot', `Permanent Shrub Plot', `Understory Vegetation', `Coarse Woody Debris', `Snag Plot', and the `Nearest Neighbor Snags' datasets have been established and continue to have subsequent survey data added. Metadata for these datasets has been drafted and will be finalized in the winter of 2005. These datasets have compartmental level summaries available to other EMEND researchers. The `Tree Productivity', `Shrub Productivity', `Soil Chemistry', `Foliage Chemistry', `Growth and Yield Plots', `Compartment Tree Age', `Weather', and `Hydrology' datasets are currently restricted to the researchers responsible for the data or are still being developed and will be available at a later date. The metadata for these datasets will be written as the datasets are incorporated into the EMEND Database. External requests for data from the EMEND Database by other EMEND researchers continues to increase as more datasets become available and post-harvest surveys are being completed. At this time there have been fourteen formal requests for data summaries completed from 2002-2004. These data summaries have provided valuable up to date information, in a timely manner, to assist fellow researchers with their individual research projects and enbrel.

Infective complications are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among renal transplant recipients. Nocardiosis is a rare infection seen in immunocompromised patients with cellular immune dysfunction such as in renal transplant recipients [1]. As the lungs are the primary portal of entry, pulmonary infection is the most common manifestation of nocardiosis, being reported in 7377% of cases [2]. In this paper we describe our experience with a renal transplant recipient who was on triple immunosuppression including cyclosporin, prednisolone and azathioprine, who subsequently developed nocardial endophthalmitis leading to enucleation of the eye and enfuvirtide.

Amount of risk you are willing to assume, and your income are all factors that should be considered before making a choice. 2. What are your monthly prescription costs? Unlike traditional Medigap plans or the new Medicare Managed Care Plans, retiree plans generally tend to offer more comprehensive prescription coverage and this may be reason to stay with your plan. However, depending upon your income, New Yorkers age 65 and over may find that the Epic program offers prescriptions at better overall price. 3. Can you afford your current coverage? Are you able to manage your current out of pocket health insurance costs or are they beginning to impact your lifestyle? If you have trouble making ends meet, a less expensive option may be right for you. 4. If you opt out, can you get back in again? Some retiree plans offer the option of reenrolling again during the next benefit decision time. Others do not. Be very sure you understand your option of re-enrolling before you opt out. 5. Will a Medicare Managed Plan be less expensive? That depends. You may save money on premiums, but end up paying more than you save in co pays and other outof-pocket expenses. Your former employer may provide a local personnel manager or 800 number for you to call and ask questions about your health insurance. In addition, the Niagara County Office for the Aging offers free, unbiased assistance on the subject of health insurance for seniors through the HIICAP Program and enoxaparin.
